L’ATTITUDE: By the Numbers

The Project

L’ATTITUDE wanted to revamp their facts page on their website prior to the launch of their 2021 event registration. The main complaints from the original page included that the content lacked simplicity and clarity, it was presented with a lack of hierarchy and organization, and needed to include more graphics to represent the information presented.

Let the Data Speak for Itself

Data and facts inform so much of what L’ATTITUDE' does and what messaging they present to the public, so it is no surprise that they have a dedicated “facts page” on their website with the intention of putting the most important or impressive stats in front of users in one convenient location. However, the original version of this page left a lot to be desired from a user perspective. Lacking information hierarchy, engaging components, or any visualizations the plain-text page fell flat in highlighting how impressive the information was. In the new and improved version, I focused on breaking down the information by category first – ensuring that if you’re coming to the page to learn more about the Latino community’s impact on business, it was easy to navigate directly there and filter out any other information. Second, I then wanted to make sure the facts that the L’ATTITUDE team wanted promoted were incorporated in a way that gave them more emphasis. By placing that section about the categories, users were guaranteed to see the data L’ATTITUDE wanted them to before diving deeper. Lastly, some of these facts and stats are hard to visualize what they really mean – by adding in graphics and visualizations for the majority of the content, the page not only gets more compelling but also becomes more digestible.
